Musalia Mudavadi, the prime cabinet secretary, broke his quiet today with a strong remark in the evening that was directed at Kenyan politicians who were living in various local and regional locations.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary encouraged Kenyan leaders not to participate in early campaigns, saying that the next general election was still too far off, in a statement dated today, December 26, 2023.

Musalia Mudavadi said that Kenyan politicians will be serving their electorates with tremendous commitment and attention in order to boost their chances of being re-elected. This is just one of the many things that are expected to happen before the highly anticipated general elections in 2027.

It is barely one and a half years since the present administration assumed power from the old Jubilee regime, Musalia Mudavadi said. He urged all leaders to be extremely patient and wait for the appropriate moment to begin campaigning.

"Election is 2027. I want to urge our leaders to serve our electorates because elections are far away. It is only one year and six months since we did our last general election. Let us not discuss too much about the impending general election. The constitution implies that there will be a general election every five years, so the election will undoubtedly take place. Thus, give up running for office. Let's get together in 2027. Now it is time to work for the Kenyan population.
