Minister Wale Edun urges Canadian industrialists to invest in Nigeria

Nigeria's Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has called on Canadian business leaders to invest in Nigeria.

During a recent meeting in Abuja with top private sector executives from Canada, Mr. Edun spoke about Nigeria's attractive investment environment and encouraged them to look into the many opportunities the country offers.

According to a report by Vanguard, Mr. Edun described the meeting as a major move towards strengthening economic cooperation between Nigeria and Canada.

He emphasized the positive investment conditions in Nigeria and urged the Canadian executives to consider various sectors for their investments.

Also present at the meeting was Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.

He reiterated the Nigerian government's dedication to creating a business-friendly atmosphere and supporting economic development.

Sen. Bagudu assured the Canadian investors of the government's ongoing efforts to improve the investment climate and make it easier for businesses to thrive.

The event was organized by the African Capital Alliance, led by Mr. Okey Enelamah, a former Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.

The discussion centered on important reforms, investment opportunities, and initiatives designed to strengthen economic relations between Nigeria and Canada.

Mr. Enelamah expressed his pleasure in facilitating the meeting, highlighting the African Capital Alliance's goal of promoting private sector investment across Africa.
