The Labour Party has issued a statement addressing a mistake in the composition of the Electoral Reform Committee membership.

This was contained on the official X page of Labour Party, clarifying that Mike Igini's name was mistakenly included as a member of the committee. Consequently, his name has been dropped from the list, and the party plans to announce his replacement during the committee's upcoming inauguration.

The party acknowledges the error and has extended apologies to Mike Igini, a highly esteemed individual in Nigeria.

By rectifying this oversight and expressing regret for the confusion, the Labour Party aims to ensure transparency and the integrity of the committee's composition.


On their Verified X page The Party said, "This is to inform members of the public that there is a slight adjustment to the composition of the Electoral Reform Committee membership

"Mike Igini's name was mistakenly included earlier as a member of the committee. We have however dropped his name and his replacement will be announced during the inauguration of the committee coming up very soon. We regret this mix up and has since tendered apologies to this very well respected Nigerian."
