Rivers Crisis: Anybody Saying Wike Is The Leader Is Deceiving Himself - Liborous Oshoma

A legal expert, Liborous Oshoma, has said that Governor Fubara is the commander of the party in Rivers State, not Nyesom Wike, the former governor and current FCT minister.

While speaking with TVC News, Oshoma underlined that the governor is in charge of maintaining peace and security in the state in his capacity as Chief Security Officer.

He implored the governor to adopt a composed demeanor, initiate communication, and yield for the purpose of maintaining harmony. He thinks that by doing this, the governor would gain political capital and be seen as a peace-focused leader.

However, he suggested that if the governor keeps going in the same direction, the results could be unexpected, and the courts might step in.

In his words, "The Governor is now the leader of the party in the state, not Wike. Anybody who is saying Wike is the leader is deceiving himself."

"He can be the leader in Abuja; the governor is the leader of the state. He's the Chief Security Officer of the State. If the state is not in peace, it's his responsibility."

"He should, at least for maturity sake and for the purpose of leadership, say, let us sit down at a round table, and for the sake of peace, this is what I'm ready to give."

"And he'll be the taller person politically, and his name will be written in gold as a man who stoops to conquer."

"But if he continues like this, Wike that we know and the APC that we know, you can never know what the Court will say tomorrow."
