The Star has reported that more security officers have been mobilise and deployed around President William Ruto's official residence in Statehouse and parliament buildings ahead of Gen Zs memorial concert in Uhuru park.
According to the Star, more security personnel have been deployed around the State House and Parliament ahead of the peaceful event that is expected to take place inside Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
Official say, according to the Star that they have taken this moves as precaution to avert any form of crime that may happen there during the planned concert.
The Gen Zs had announced that on the 7th of July 2024 they would meet inside the historic Uhuru Park to pay tribute to their fellows who lost their lives during the most recent anti-government protests.
Reports have revealed that more than 30 Kenyans have reportedly been killed by police officers who used excess force in trying to quell the Anti-Finance Bill protests that rocked the country in the past week.
More of the deaths were recorded last month when angry Gen Zs braveld live bullets and invaded the parliament buildings.
