The cause of death for Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has been disclosed by AGN National President Emeka Rollas.
Late on Saturday night, Rollas revealed on Instagram that Mr. Ibu "suffered a cardiac arrest."
Additionally, he verified that on Saturday, actress Kate Henshaw lost her mother.
"Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria," wrote Rollas.
"Mr. Ibu experienced a cardiac arrest, according to his manager of 24 years, Mr. Don Single Nwuzor, and Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today.
"I must say with great sadness that Mr. Ibu was not able to make it. May peace be upon his soul".
It can be recalled that Mr. Ibu passed away at Lagos State's Evercare Hospital following a protracted battle with illness that led to an amputation.
Due to health problems, the 62-year-old Nollywood Veteran had to have both of his legs amputated.
It was determined that he had damaged blood vessels.
