In a recent revelation reported by Daily Post, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has shed light on the underlying factors contributing to the malfunctioning of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) servers during the last presidential election.

Obi categorically asserted that the impediment to the functionality of the INEC servers stemmed from what he termed the "establishment of criminality" entrenched within the system. Despite the systemic obstacles, Obi maintained an unwavering conviction that the servers must eventually be made operational, underscoring the imperative of persistently advocating for accountability and transparency within the electoral process.

During a speaking engagement in Canada as part of his "thank you" tour to express appreciation to Nigerians living abroad for their support during the 2023 campaign and general elections, Obi elaborated on the intricacies surrounding the challenges encountered during the electoral process, including the contentious issue of the INEC servers.

Asserting that the electoral process adhered to established protocols, Obi vehemently refuted any insinuations of wrongdoing on their part, contending that the quest for change inevitably engenders resistance from entrenched interests vested in preserving the status quo. Drawing parallels with historical struggles for change across the globe, Obi emphasized the protracted nature of effecting transformative change, urging steadfast perseverance in the face of adversity.

Citing corroborative testimony from Amazon, which purportedly affirmed the absence of global glitches on the day of the presidential election, Obi underscored the glaring disparity between the official narrative and the empirical evidence. He adamantly refuted claims of technical malfunctions, attributing the purported glitches to systemic sabotage orchestrated by vested interests within the establishment.

In a resolute declaration, Obi affirmed the collective resolve to surmount the systemic obstacles obstructing the functionality of the INEC servers, affirming that justice and accountability must prevail.

In his words: "Amazon came and said there was no glitch. Amazon glitch is noticed globally – it’s recorded globally. And at that period, we brought down an Amazon person who said this is the number of glitches we have had since inception. And there was none that it reported that day. We know it didn’t occur. It was the glitch of the establishment criminality that was in the system. And we must one day make it work.”
