In a recent video on YouTube, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, recently stirred discussions with his candid views on media consumption. In a recent sermon, Bishop Oyedepo shared his personal approach to reading and news consumption, which has significantly influenced his outlook and lifestyle.

He elaborated on how his perception of news and media has evolved, citing a pivotal moment in his life. His remarks revealed his belief that consuming news can be a distraction from achieving one’s purpose and goals. He suggests that focusing on productive activities and valuable information is more beneficial than spending time on mainstream news.

According to him, "I never read that in all my studies of his works but it is my natural take from that source. Comments of men for or against have never affected me. I also discovered of late that Kenneth Copeland does not waste his time on newspapers. You may not like it but I bought the last newspaper in 1993. There are so much things of value to read. You heard me say “Those who make news don’t watch news.” They are so busy making news, they are not available to watch news."
