Peter Obi stated on his verified Twitter page; "Today, I delivered a Keynote address at the 6th Graduation Ceremony of Jesuit Memorial College, Port Harcourt, Rivers State where I took time to encourage the graduating students who were going into the wider world to either continue their educational pursuits or to face other productive endeavours."

He added; "As always, I was glad to interact with the young students whose future we must invest in through our investment in this very critical measure of development - education. Our nation today is underdeveloped because we have not invested sufficiently in education."
The former Governor of Anambra state stated further; "In encouraging the students, I shared my journey to success with them and urged them to remain productive wherever they subsequently find themselves, and not be fixated on material gains"
