The Edo State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the brutal murder of Glory Adekolure, a promising student at the University of Benin. The suspect, whose name has not been released, has confessed to the heinous crime and is currently in police custody.

In a chilling confession, the suspect revealed that he had been stalking the victim without her knowledge before grabbing her from behind and dragging her into a nearby pig farm. "I spotted the girl when she was going home that night. She had just alighted from a Keke Napep and had earphones in her ears. As she walked down the street, I was following her without her knowledge. I suddenly grabbed her neck from behind. I dragged her inside a nearby pig farm and used her handbag to strangle her," the suspect said in an interview with Channels TV.

The suspect's confession has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing outrage and sadness over the senseless killing. The police have charged the suspect with murder and are awaiting further legal proceedings.
