The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters successfully targeted an Israeli command and control site in the Netzarim Corridor, located south of Gaza City.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, the group claimed that several short-range missiles were used in the attack, which was carried out in coordination with the al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, another Palestinian militant faction.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the Qassam Brigades detailed the joint operation, emphasizing their continued resistance against Israeli military presence and actions in the region. The Netzarim Corridor, named after a Jewish settlement dismantled in 2005, was established by the Israeli army during previous conflicts to divide northern Gaza from the southern part of the territory.

The attack marks a significant escalation in the ongoing hostilities between Palestinian armed groups and Israeli forces. The Israeli military has not yet issued an official response to the claims made by the Qassam Brigades.
