Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, has warned against the dangers of speaking against prophets sent by God. He gave this warning during his sermon at the July edition of the Leadership Empowerment Summit.

The man of God explained that God sent prophets with packages of blessings for his people, and speaking against them could disrupt the flow of the blessings. According to him, although prophets were ordained to be spoken against, the ones who speak against them were putting themselves in danger of divine punishment for their actions.

He further explained that while there might not be any prophet in the world without some imperfections, as they were still human beings, the gifts they were carrying were perfect.

“You may never come across a perfect prophet, or apostle, but the gift he carries is perfect. Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights to which there is no variableness nor shadow of turning. It is the gifts you are tapping into. Stop being the judge,” he said.

Finally, he shared the story of a woman, who spoke against him, and how things went bad in her life.

“A woman came here from Oyo. She came here desperate. She got herself into trouble. Her husband left her with a 3 month old child. God said what you said against my servant. I don’t normally hear such things, she said it herself: Papa cannot eat without our tithe. I’ve been paying tithe before she was born. I am feeding from my covenant practice, not from your gift. Don’t let your mouth cause your flesh to sin,” he said.
