At the beginning of June 2024, we presented our authors with 2 unique rewards programmes - Opera News MiniPay Loyalty Rewards Program & The Weekly Yield Scheme, both tailored to give authors a chance to claim extra funds into their wallets.
However, many were unable to abide by the terms and conditions governing the Loyalty Rewards Programme and as such, have been disqualified from participating further.

For authors that applied to be part of the programme but were unable to meet the requirements of the final selection held in June 2024 due to late update of their records or submitted their entries late, we are happy to announce that a second verification exercise was conducted to add them into the program at the discretion of the team. The selection criteria used for the first set still remained the same for this new set of verified authors without favoritism or bias.

Please note the following:
1. All newly verified authors have also been credited with the first $5 and everyone still in the programme is advised to abide by the Terms & conditions laid out for the entire duration of the programme. (Click here to view T&C’s).
2. Authors can still withdraw their monthly earnings as usual but should not withdraw the $5/$10 credited to them until they are told to do so. Remember, violation of this amounts to elimination from the programme as well as other punitive measures.
3. The Weekly Yield reward is ONLY for Authors and is not open to the general public. It is also calculated based on the wallet balance less the $5/$10 credited to authors by Opera.
