Alhaji Buba Galadima, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has voiced concerns over political opportunism facilitated by media influence. Galadima contends that the media plays a significant role in encouraging individuals to engage in the politics of Nigeria without a clear allegiance, thereby perpetuating instability within the political landscape. He said an individual can't work for the NNPP in the morning and then, at night, start working with the PDP, APC, or Labour Party.
According to what Alhaji Buba Galadima said in the report by The Sun News, "It is the media that is encouraging this kind of person to meddle in the politics of this country. What I am saying is that you cannot be NNPP in the morning, and at night, you work for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC), or the Labour Party. You have to make a choice. People just assign titles to themselves. I am telling you that I am the secretary of the Board of Trustees of the NNPP. I am saying that because, in a convention televised across the world, I was affirmed as the BoT secretary."
