The IDF has released images depicting Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket expert Fadi al-Wadiya clad in the terror group’s uniform. This revelation comes after Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, identified al-Wadiya as a staff member but denied any terrorist affiliations, according to Times of Israel.

Al-Wadiya was killed in a drone strike in Gaza City the previous day. MSF had announced in a post on X that al-Wadiya met his end while en route to the MSF clinic on his bicycle. However, the IDF countered this narrative, asserting that he was a significant figure within Islamic Jihad, specializing in missile development. His expertise extended to electronics and chemistry, according to military sources.

Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, elaborated on al-Wadiya’s role, stating that he had been integral to Islamic Jihad’s rocket manufacturing efforts for over 15 years. To substantiate these claims, Adraee shared three images of al-Wadiya in the Islamic Jihad uniform, reinforcing the IDF’s position that he was deeply involved in the terror group’s operations.

In addition to his militant activities, Adraee highlighted that in 2018, the same year al-Wadiya began working with Doctors Without Borders, he attempted to leave Gaza for Iran. This journey, which he undertook with two other operatives, was aimed at receiving advanced training, underscoring his commitment to the terror organization.

This incident has ignited a significant controversy, casting a shadow over MSF’s employment practices and raising questions about the infiltration of humanitarian organizations by militant operatives. The IDF’s release of these images and detailed background on al-Wadiya is part of a broader effort to expose and combat the embedded terrorist networks within civilian and humanitarian structures.
