Ikenga Ugochinyere, the member of the House of Representatives who is representing Ideato North South Federal Constituency of Imo State, has spoken about an incident in Rivers State. He said during a protest, some individuals brought dynamite, which exploded and injured them
In a video shared by TVC, Ugochinyere said he was happy that the explosion only harmed those who brought the dynamite and he used this event to send a strong message. He urged people to think carefully before engaging in dangerous protests. He said those encouraging such actions won't take care of the families of those who get hurt or die.
In Ugochinyere's words: "People went on protest with dynamite and as God will have it, the dynamite exploded and cut off their hands. I was so happy when that happened but people should learn. Some of them that have died in that process, those people that are sending you are they going to take care of your family? What are you fighting for? Why going to a protest with dynamite?"
