Rivers State Governor, Similanayi Fubara, has assured the citizens that they should not be concerned about the recent Appeal Court ruling, which reversed the High Court’s judgement that removed the 27 pro-Wike lawmakers.

According to Daily Trust, Governor Fubara, while speaking to journalists after inspecting projects in Khana, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, expressed his confidence despite the ruling.

He emphasised that he remains unfazed by the judgement, stating that his faith and belief in divine favour reassure him in the face of opposition.

Regarding the ongoing projects, Governor Fubara underlined the importance of health, education, and agriculture as top priorities for his administration.

He vowed that these sectors would receive undivided attention to ensure that the people have access to the best possible services.

Governor Fubara elaborated that his administration inherited a situation with no functional zonal hospitals.

To address this, he mentioned that funds were released about a month ago for the reconstruction and expansion of four zonal hospitals.

He said that this initiative is part of his commitment to providing quality healthcare facilities for the residents of Rivers State.

Fubara said, "I know that a lot of you will be wondering what is going on and all that. Government has its own challenges.

"If you go to the book of Psalm 23 verse 5, in the Bible, it said that God prepares a table before you; it can be before anybody.

"But there is an underlined word that should be noted there: it said ‘in the presence of your enemies’. So, it means that nothing comes easy.

"I want to assure everyone of you and the good people of Rivers State that we are not deterred. We have made our promises; we will continue to give you good governance, no matter how difficult it is."
