Nigerian singer and record producer, Davido has opened up in an interview, speaking on how everyone in his circle, including his wife, has been there from the very beginning of his journey to success.
The singer disclosed that he met his wife, Chioma Adeleke before he made money, so he feels things would have been different if he met another girl after he made money.
"I met my wife before I had money. But I was saying to myself, if I didn't meet her, and now I'm single and I met a girl, I already know it's not going to be the same. Like yeah I'm cool, but you're talking to me because I'm Davido and you know I have money," Davido expressed.
The afrobeat star further explained his definition of success as attaining greater heights with those who were around him when he was still grinding.
He expressed that all the people he has around him presently were there when he had nothing, thus, it's a good thing they see the huge achievements now.
Davido also emphasized the need to stick with those who were there when the times were tough.
He said, "You need to keep the people that were there with you grinding. I want to see the people that knew me as nothing, now they see me as something."
He further expressed how his friends and family have benefitted from his influence.
