According to Channels Television ,Senate President Godswill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to support and pray for President Bola Tinubu's administration, highlighting its potential for significant positive change. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony of the Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja, Akpabio emphasized the importance of citizen support for the government's success.

Despite the challenges posed by the recent removal of the fuel subsidy, Akpabio expressed optimism about the future, stating, "I have no doubt that by the time the president is through with his tenure in the country, seven years from today, many people will not recognize FCT, they will not recognize Nigeria again." He encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful, assuring them that current challenges would eventually be resolved.

Akpabio praised the project as a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to improving the welfare of FCT residents. He also commended Tinubu for appointing Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the FCT, describing Wike as the right person for the job due to his proven track record. Akpabio highlighted that Tinubu’s administration is keen on addressing issues such as traffic congestion and insecurity through such projects, drawing a parallel to Tinubu’s successful tenure as Governor of Lagos State.

Wike, in his remarks, thanked President Tinubu and the National Assembly for their support. He assured residents that no projects would be abandoned, marking an end to the era of incomplete initiatives. Wike addressed the rising insecurity in the FCT, particularly kidnappings, noting that the completion of the bus terminal would provide safe and reliable transportation, thereby reducing incidents of "one-chance" kidnappings and enhancing overall security.
