ODM Reveals Why It Will Live Stream Celebrated Reggae DJ Njambi Koikai's Memorial Service For Free

The the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced it will live stream the memorial service of celebrated reggae DJ Njambi Koikai, also known as Fyah Mummah.

The service will be available for free on Azimio TV, reflecting the party's deep respect for Koikai’s contributions to both the media and their organization.

Njambi Koikai, a beloved figure in the Kenyan entertainment scene, was an early supporter of ODM when the party was formed.

Known for her dynamic presence and passion for reggae music, Koikai quickly became involved with the party's activities.

ODM, in a recent statement on X, highlighted her dedication, noting, "When the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was formed, one of the admirers of its ideology was media personality and entertainer Jahmby Koikai. She immediately became a member."

In recognition of her early and enthusiastic support, ODM decided to honor her memory by making the memorial service accessible to all through a live stream.

This event will take place at Nairobi Chapel on Ngong Road on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11 a.m.

The broadcast aims to allow Njambi’s fans and the broader community to pay their respects and celebrate her life and legacy.

The decision to live stream the service for free underscores ODM’s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.

"Today, in her honour, we shall stream live her memorial service from the Nairobi Chapel on Azimio TV," the statement continued.

By providing free access, ODM ensures that many who admired Koikai's work and spirit can participate in the memorial, even if they cannot attend in person.

Following the memorial, a funeral service is scheduled for July 14, 2024, at Lang'ata Cemetery in Nairobi.

Koikai’s family has expressed their deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences from the public, emphasizing how much it means during this difficult time.
