The Deputy National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nze Chidi Duru, has expressed his conviction that President Bola Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027 despite the current economic hardship faced by Nigerians.
In an interview with Punch, Duru noted that President Tinubu craved and worked tirelessly to become the country's president, and is aware of the expectations of most Nigerians.
Duru recalled that when President Tinubu took over as president, he asked Nigerians not to pity him, but to criticize him if he fails to deliver.
The APC chieftain believes that President Tinubu will deliver on his promises, citing his introduction of economic reforms to steady the country's economy. Duru assured Nigerians that things will get better soon.
Furthermore, Duru emphasized the importance of the first year in office, noting that citizens will always track the performance of elected officials. He expressed confidence in President Tinubu's ability to turn the economy around and meet the expectations of Nigerians.
