Wednesday, the 3rd of July, was indeed a special day for celebrated Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau alias Kate Actress.
This is because on the day, her only son Leon Karanja, officially turned a 18-years-old.

Like any other mother out there, the talented actress was proud of the milestone and therefore she marked it in style.
Taking to her Instagram account in the wee hours of the morning, Kate Actress infact penned Leon Karanja a heartwarming birthday message.
"I am extremely emotional today 😔, Happy 18th my big baby. With everything that is happening around us, 😔 mothers losing their innocent sons to police brutality & other injustices a black boy child is subjected to in today's society, I just want to hold you a Little closer today, with so much gratitude to God for getting you to this big Age. We did it my boy. Happy birthday my heart 😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾" Kate Actress wrote.
Apart from the sweet birthday message, the sassy, multi award-winning actress, further posted a prayer for her teen son.
In the prayer, Kate Actress asked God to keep Leon Karanja safe, to help him make wise choices in life, to make him a man of character, to surround him with good people and to help him so that he can have a heart for the Lord.

The teen son is actually the one that the voluptuous actress sired while she was a student at the Kampala International University.
At the time, Kate Actress was only 19-years-old. She gave birth to Leon when she was in another relationship then.
This was way before she even met Philip Karanja alias Phil Director, a man who later married her for close to 6 years before their marriage ended in 2023.
