Senator Ireti Kingibe, a Labour Party representative for the FCT, has invited scrutiny regarding any federal land allocations made to her in the FCT since 1991, urging Nigerians to hold her accountable if any such allocations are discovered.
She emphasized her long-term residence in a home she built in the FCT, purchased in 1991. She voiced her strong support for fair land distribution, suggesting that if everyone took only one or two parcels of land, there would be sufficient land for all. She clarified her lack of interest in acquiring land in the FCT, highlighting her dedication to fairness and transparency in land allocation.

In an interview with Arise TV, she stated, "I have been in the FCT politics for the last 20 years and you can go and verify. I live in a house that I have owned the land since 1991. If you find any federal allocation of land for me in the FCT since 1991, Nigerians can call me out.
I'm a firm believer that if everybody takes their one or two pieces of land, there would be enough for everybody. I'm not interested in the FCT land. When the last FCT minister was there, I worked with him as the APC leader. When contracts were being given out, he asked that where is Madam's own, I said sorry I'm not a contractor."
