Arsenal willing to pay €60m for Diomande

Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer €60m for Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande this summer, but claims of contact between the parties have been played down. Earlier this week, Portuguese outlet Record (via Sport Witness ) reported that Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to sign a new centre-back, and the Gunners have chosen to focus their attentions on Ousmane Diomande . According to the report, Arsenal have informed the player’s agent and Sporting CP’s directors that they will start negotiations for his transfer. Diomande has an €80m (£69m) release clasue, but Arsenal are apparently offering €60m (£52m) for the transfer, plus bonuses.

Man Utd keen to beat Chelsea to sign Bremer

According to Calciomercato.it , United have stepped up their pursuit of Bremer and are trying to gain an advantage over their Premier League rivals. The same outlet has also claimed that the Manchester club have no problems with activating a €58m (£49.7m) release clause in the Brazilian’s contract. Sitting sixth in the table, United may be able to offer Bremer Champions League football, whereas Chelsea are not in the position right now to even promise the centre-half minutes in the Europa League next season. Even so, there is one reason why a move to Chelsea may still appeal to Bremer.

La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly not working on a deal to sign 28-year-old Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso. According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mario Hermoso is not the subject of interest from Barcelona. Recent reports have linked the 28-year-old Atletico Madrid defender with the Blaugrana. But the reigning La Liga champions are not working on a deal to sign him on a Bosman deal in the summer transfer window.
