Even though some members of Parliament voted in favor of the harsh finance law 2024 and betrayed everyone they were supposed to represent, President William Ruto withdrew the bill when the Gen Zs successfully put pressure on the government to do so. Gen Zs demanded President William Ruto's resignation because they were dissatisfied with his leadership, even after the measure was withdrawn.

When Kenyans called on Ruto to step down, Martha Karua, the former running mate of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition and leader of the NARC Kenya party, responded. Martha Karua has responded, revealing essential information on Ruto's mandatory calls for Kenyans and the government, based on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

Karua said that Kenyans' demand that President William Ruto resign his position as head of state amounts to a direct recall of Ruto's entire governance. As Kenyans are already unhappy with the system, she said, the entire government and its complement ought to resign from office.

On this Saba Saba Day, which is observed throughout Kenya, Karua called on the people to exercise their sovereignty as guaranteed by Article One. Will Kenyans demand that President William Ruto step down, along with his entire administration? What can resolve the issues facing Kenyans? President and all government officials resigning? Gen Zs and other Kenyans are anticipated to assemble at Nairobi's Uhuru Park to commemorate all the people who were brutally killed and injured by police during the anti-government demonstrations.
