The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has declared a historic partnership between the South-South, Southwest, and Southeast areas of Nigeria. As a result of this coalition, Southern Nigeria will now be united, with powerful leaders from all regions working together to address shared issues and support local people.

He stated in an interview with The Sun that notable individuals have united under the Ohanaeze banner to fortify regional unity, including Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Chief E.K. Clark, Emmanuel Essien, and Pa Ayo Adebanjo. Their combined endeavour is to address marginalisation issues and promote a Nigeria that is more inclusive and equitable.


As the most senior statesman in the coalition, the group has unanimously acknowledged the seasoned leadership of Chief E.K. Clark and Pa. Ayo Adebanjo. This action highlights the leaders' crucial role in directing the recently established union and demonstrates the respect and confidence these individuals command throughout the coalition.


They have formed a Southern and Middle Belt leaders' forum, with Dr. Pogu Bitrus serving as the Middle Belt region's spokesperson, in addition to their regional alliance. Chief Edwin Clark has been given permission to speak for the Middle Belt and Southern regions, guaranteeing that the issues and goals of these areas are properly conveyed.


Chief Iwuanyanwu underlined the Igbo people's marginalisation and the necessity of working with the Southern and Middle Belt leaders' forum to address this issue. This alliance's main objective is to bring together leaders from all areas to jointly confront common issues and strive towards a more inclusive Nigeria. Chief Iwuanyanwu emphasised the value of unity in conquering challenges and guaranteeing justice for all Nigerian citizens while showcasing this partnership.
