Manchester United transfer plan could see their 30-year-old target make history in the Premier League as club consider his acquisition.

The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their defence during the summer transfer window so as to be in the best possible shape for the 2024/25 Premier League season.

United have had so many injury concerns this season and are still facing a lot of them. Their defence in particular has been plagued with injuries, with Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw, both left-back options, sidelined through injury.

So a move for a new left back is considered to be important, as it would improve the club's squad depth and solve the issues of not playing with a natural left-back.

According to The Sun, Man Utd are considering a cut-price swoop to sign Atletico Madrid star Reinildo Mandava.

Should the deal go through, he would be the first Mozambique player to ever play in the Premier League.

Furthermore, The Sun claims United have been monitoring the 30-year-old closely, with the defender said to be available for a fee around £8m this summer.

However, Reinildo has some concerns of his own, with the former Lille man playing just 15 times for Atletico this season, having missed some games as a result of injuries.

With Atletico preparing to take on Celta Vigo, Getafe, Osasuna, and Real Sociedad in the remaining weeks of the La Liga season, Reinildo would be looking to play his part well so the club can end the season on a high.
