Timothy Osadolor, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Youth Leader, addressed a recent statement by Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State.

Fubara had expressed that due to the PDP's shortcomings, their focus had shifted from the party to a movement.

According to Punch, Osadolor revealed that the PDP is currently involved in legal proceedings concerning the political situation in Rivers State and has adhered to all of Governor Fubara's demands. However, Fubara did not support the party when they sought his assistance in these legal matters.

Osadolor emphasized that Governor Fubara likely realizes his statement was regrettable, stressing that the party has fulfilled all his requests. He pointed out that the PDP is in court regarding the issue in Rivers State and stated that Fubara cannot expect the National Working Committee to act inconsistently.

He noted that while Fubara has political experience, one does not need to be a politician to understand constitutional processes.

During an interview with The Punch, he remarked, "I am sure Governor Fubara would have realized that he made an unfortunate statement. It is unfortunate. First, there is nothing he wants the party to do that the party has not done for him."

"The party is in court over the same Rivers State matter. So, he cannot start asking the NWC to probate and reprobate at a time."

"He has been a politician, but you don’t need to be a politician to understand the workings of the Constitution."
