Khalif Kairo, a young entrepreneur in the country and one of the young people that were at the frontline in organizing the Gen Z protests has announced that he will no longer be involved. In a post he shared on his X page, Kairo said that the movement is bound to be destroyed because it does not have objectives, leadership structure or agenda.
He said that he is not a person to get involved with such movements that have no agenda and was calling it quits. Kairo also added that he did not quit because he is afraid of threats but because he did not want to associate with a frenzied mob that is a threat to the same country they claim to be fighting for.
"Any movement that doesn’t have objectives, clear leadership, clear structures or agenda is bound to be destroyed. I withdrew not because of threats but because i cannot associate with a frenzied mob that is a threat to the same country it claims to protest for." Kairo announced to his followers on X.
His quitting comes amid increased cases of criminal activities during the protests. The Gen Z movement has also refused to appoint leaders by stating that they are leaderless and having one would lead to sabotaging their plan. His quitting has however attracted a lot of criticism from the Gen Zs with some saying he is leaving because he was not appointed the leaders of the movement.
