Boniface Mwangi's Late Night Sentiments On Today's Nationwide Demonstrations By Gen Zs

opera.com 2024/9/28

I am heartbroken by the tragic and unnecessary loss of life, following the unprovoked killing of innocent civilians today.

I took part in today’s protest proudly, peacefully, and unarmed. I was pushing the wheelchair of my friend Ghandi, who is a paraplegic after suffering crippling injuries in a motorcycle accident. He came out to protest because these taxes will affect him too.

We were peaceful. Politicians can’t stand peaceful, well-organized, united citizens. They infiltrated our ranks with paid goons who have caused massive damage to property. The police, instead of exercising restraint, decided to murder unarmed citizens. There is no justification to use lethal force unless it’s to protect life. Life. Not furniture. The government has murdered innocent citizens, and they’re likely going to go after individuals who took part in the protests.

We have a tone-deaf government that has spent the past week abducting and terrorizing innocent citizens. We hope that this trend doesn’t continue, and there will be zero victimization of innocent people.

The crimes that happened today are the politicians refused to listen to the people who elected them and passed the slavery finance bill, and the crooked, slave cops murdered civilians, plunging the country into mourning.

The innocence of the Gen Z’s has been lost, and any hardline actions from the government will be resisted in peaceful protests as envisioned by the Constitution. We mourn the heroes we lost today. We shall celebrate their sacrifice and help their families bury them. To those who are in hospital, we wish you a speedy recovery". Said Boniface Mwangi.
