NDLEA makes biggest cocaine seizure in Benue history

According to reports on DAILY POST, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Benue State has announced the largest seizure of a substance suspected to be cocaine in the state's history.

The seizure was made from a 25-year-old male suspect.

The arrest took place on Thursday at approximately 10 am by the Otukpo Area Command during an ambush in a well-coordinated follow-up operation.

“There was an interception of a waybill at the NDLEA checkpoint along Enugu road, Otukpo; a diligent stop-and-search operation was carried out resulting in the highest seizure of cocaine in the history of Benue State Command weighing 350 grams in an MP3 speaker,” Saror stated.

He further noted that the suspect is currently in custody and under investigation, pending prosecution in court.

“Arrest was made on Thursday, July 4, 2024,” Saror added.

This significant seizure marks a milestone for the NDLEA in its ongoing battle against drug trafficking in Benue State.
