In a recent statement via his official X account, a well-known Arise TV journalist, Oseni Rufai, in response to the rising political tensions in Rivers State, has voiced his perspective over on the ongoing situation.

The ongoing fight between Governor Fubara and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has intensified, resulting in the governor's decision to redeploy Wike's loyalists from key positions within his cabinet.

This move has led to the resignation of commissioners from Fubara's cabinet, worsening the breakdown of the Peace Accord initially established in Abuja.

"I am sure Fubara has learnt that it is useless trying to make peace with some people. We told him before," Rufai wrote.

The rift between Governor Fubara and Minister Wike has been a source of concern for residents of Rivers State, as it threatens to disrupt the stability of the region.

The redeployment of loyalists and later resignations from the cabinet has brought widespread speculation about the future of governance in the state.

Calls for dialogue and mediation have emerged from various quarters, underlining the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
