The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has explained how he spent almost two hours trying to cross a ring road in Kaduna state.
The former governor of Anambra state made the statement in a viral video that was shared on the official X handle of Peter Obi Media Centre on Sunday.
Peter Obi was answering a question on whether ethnic and religion issues are responsible for the division in the country when he spoke about his encounter in Kaduna state.
Peter Obi said tribe and religion are not responsible for everything happening in the country but politicians who have refused to do the right thing have employed them as a tool. He said most of the people in power have refused to fix roads and other basic amenities that will make life easier for the citizens.
Peter Obi said;
"I drove from Kano to Kaduna a week ago and it took us about two hours just to cross Kaduna ring road. This does not make sense. These are the kind of people that we have in power. Forget about tribe and religion, they are purely a tool employed by the criminal gang that have kept Nigeria in one place".
