According to a report made by All Nigeria Soccer, Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is now the fourth Nigerian football player to play 250 games in the English Premier League. It is important to point out that the likes of Shola Ameobi, Nwankwo Kanu and Yakubu Aiyegbeni have also made at least 250 appearances in the English Premier League.
It should also be said that Shola Ameobi played for Newcastle United in the English Premier League while Nwankwo Kanu played for Arsenal Football Club. Yakubu Aiyegbeni played for Everton for many years.
The same report by All Nigeria Soccer states that Alex Iwobi currently plays for Fulham. However, he has also played for other English Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Everton during his professional football career. Alex Iwobi is regarded as one of the most respected football players in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is an established member of the Super Eagles squad.
