In a candid interview on News Central TV, a Publisher of Niche Newspaper, Ikechukwu Amaechi held President Tinubu accountable for the actions of Wike, who is an appointed minister in his administration.

He questioned Wike's respect for the President, suggesting that Wike's behavior could tarnish the government's reputation.

Arguing that Wike's actions do not reflect well on President Tinubu, he urged the President to rein in Wike and prevent further damage to the administration's image. Failure to do so, he warned, would imply tacit approval of Wike's conduct and could harm President Tinubu's standing.

Ikechukwu Amaechi said this while reacting to the rivalry between Ireti Kingibe and Nyesom Wike.

He said, "He is an appointee of the president and therefore, the president should be held accountable for what his appointee do, he is a minister. I doubt if Wike respects even the president (Tinubu) that he claims to be serving. There are things you do, and you know you are bringing bad name to the government you say you are defending, that is what Wike does. And if the president doesn't rein him, then it means that Wike will continue on this trajectory, and that does not speak well of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu."
