Several Suspects Arrested for Stealing Items at Chieni Supermarkets in Nyeri and Laikipia

Several suspects have been arrested by the police for breaking into Chieni supermarkets in Nyeri and Laikipia counties. The suspects stole valuable items during the unfortunate incident.

Chieni supermarkets are owned by Kieni member of parliament Njoroge Wainaina. The member of parliament angered many people in the region for voting in support of the controversial Finance Bill. He went into hiding after the incident.

Criminals took advantage of the protests and stole items from the supermarkets. The criminals burnt down the entire supermarkets. Property worth millions of shillings was destroyed during the incident. Njoroge Wainaina has been saddened by the unfortunate incident.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have been conducting investigations into the matter. Several suspects have been arrested by the police for committing the criminal offence. They are currently being detained in various police stations around the country.

The government has condemned the violence witnessed in various parts of the country in the last few weeks. Military officers have been deployed around the country to restore peace and stability in the country. They are working together with police officers.

Njoroge Wainaina is currently serving as the member of parliament for Kieni constituency. He was elected during the general elections in 2022. He has been involved in several business ventures for a long time. He has achieved a lot of success in business.

The suspects will be charged in court within the next few days. They have denied charges presented against them. The stolen items will be presented in court as evidence for the criminal offence.
