Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Onyinye has his sights set on joining one of the top six Premier League teams when the transfer window opens, according to Soccernet.ng.

Under Enzo Maresca, the 27-year-old midfielder has been in excellent form for the Foxes this season, tallying six goals and dishing out six assists in 34 appearances.

In the summer of 2018, the former Genk player inked a six-year contract that would expire this summer with the FA Cup champions.

Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho have not yet had contract negotiations with the team, which suggests that their elevation to the English Premier League will mark the final time either player will wear the blue and gold of Leicester.

Tottenham Hotspur, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Sevilla are the teams interested in signing Ndidi. The player would love to join one of the top six Premier League teams, according to SCORENGERIA. The Nigerian intends to depart England if it pertains to anything else.

According to the article, Ndidi intends to join a Premier League Top-6 club in the summer and plans to transfer abroad, where he has received offers from other teams if that isn't possible.

The defensive midfielder missed three months of activity because of an injury, which prevented him from playing in Nigeria's AFCON 2023 campaign. After making a comeback to the field in March, he has scored goals in Leicester's last two games.

Maresca's team will advance to the English Premier League automatically should they secure a win in their next EFL fixture. Next weekend, they will travel to face Preston North End in Deepdale.
