Popular Kikuyu Musician Announces His Wife Will Be Buried In A Public Cemetery Coming Tuesday

Veteran Kikuyu gospel musician Simon Mbugua Ben has announced that his deceased wife will be laid to rest on next week Tuesday, July 2.

In a Facebook post on Friday morning, Ben disclosed he will bury his wife in a public cemetery in Nakuru.

"Dear friends. The day is coming for her to be kept at her resting place on Tuesday next week at Nakuru south cemetery near lake Nakuru ( manyani) estate. Rest in peace my dear wife," he said.

Ben's spouse, a mother of five, passed on Tuesday but the cause of her death has not been disclosed.

Simon Ben, a veteran investigative journalist who has worked with various radio and TV stations, is the leader of Akorino's Nakuru Town Choir.

Among his popular tracks include Abimeleku Cokia Muka Wene, Iguru Rieru, Bururi Thina, Ngumo Na Ugoci Irogucokerera among others.

His colleagues in the music industry led by Karangu Muraya, Anne Lawrence, Zachary Wandaro among others have sent their condolences to Ben and his family.

"Sorry about the loss of your dear wife my brother. May God grant you peace and grace during this hard process of mourning. May you have peace that supersedes all human understanding," Wandaro said.
