In response to a video featuring Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state, talking about Nasir El-Rufai, Lauretta Onochie, a former head of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has resorted to social media to express her disapproval.

Lauretta Onochie posted the video on the microblogging site X, and it shows Governor Uba Sani at a meeting where he claims that people he thought were allies of Nasir El-Rufai plotted to have El-Rufai removed from his ministerial role in 2007.
According to Sani, El-Rufai facilitated the appointments of these persons to positions in the presidency and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

El-Rufai, he continued, is kind to everyone but himself. When asked about the video, Lauretta Onochie agreed with Governor Uba Sani and said that everyone knows this to be Nasir El-Rufai.
