In an interview with Arise News, Chief Edwin Clark, Leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), called for the prosecution of corrupt politicians, specifically mentioning former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa. Clark stated that Okowa's case is "a naked one" and that he "stole the money and he must pay for it." He clarified that the probe is not a result of Okowa's recent actions, but rather a culmination of gathering all cases of old governors to deal with them simultaneously.
In his words;
"What they said was that they wanted to probe, gather all cases of old governors and deal with them at the same time. It's not because Okowa has gone to soften their hearts or has gone to do something. His case is a naked one. He stole our money, embezzled our money and he must pay for it"
