A Political Analyst, Sam Amadi, has stated that the decision of President Bola Tinubu to focus on appointing people who are from his region into political offices is a dangerous and fatal situation which is worse than what was witnessed under president Muhammadu Buhari.
Sam Amadi made this statement during an interview with some journalists on Arise Television. During the interview, Sam Amadi said, "ethnocentricism in appointments has become a philosophy which is more fatal and dangerous. Evidence suggests that we are starting to see similar pattern in Bola Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari's appointments, but the motivation and dynamics which is driving them are different."
"In Bola Tinubu's case, it has become more worrisome because we cannot say that Bola Tinubu is provincial, or that he does not have social network across the country. We cannot say that he does not know who to appoint, however, we can make those excuses for Muhammadu Buhari."
"Bola Tinubu's administration appears to be an administration that has provable allegation of not obeying federal character in their appointments."
