Lamido Sule, the former governor of Jigawa State, has offered counsel to ex-Governor Yahaya Bello, advising him to engage constructively with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concerning the corruption accusations leveled against him. Reflecting on his own encounter with the EFCC, Sule stressed the significance of confronting such allegations directly.

In a video disseminated via Arise TV's YouTube channel, Sule recounted his personal tribulations with the EFCC, during which he faced accusations of theft and underwent public prosecution alongside his children. He elucidated on the anguish and distress inflicted upon him and his family throughout this period. Despite the immense challenges, Sule opted to cooperate fully with the EFCC, eventually clearing his name of all charges while upholding his integrity.

Furthermore, Sule admonished the legal practitioners who rallied in support of Bello, urging the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to take disciplinary measures against them for their actions.

In Sule's own words: "I endured unimaginable hardships, publicly branded a thief alongside my children, yet I chose to cooperate, ultimately emerging vindicated. My family and I suffered greatly, but integrity prevailed."
