While addressing residents, Migori county Senator Hon Eddy Oketch slammed the National Assembly saying the house should be dissolved after Gen Z protesters occupied it. The vocal legislator slammed the President for failing to dissolve the house with immediate effect.

He further went ahead to hit out at President William Samoei Ruto saying that the head of state could have ceased being the president if angry protesters could have marched and occupied the state house. He said if the protesters managed to reach state house the army could have stepped in and taken over the government.

“If Gen Z had made their way into State House, and defies the state house and got into state house, one thing could have happened to this country. The president could have left the state house and the army could have taken over.” Eddy Oketch said.

“ If Gen Z made it into parliament, they defied parliament and got there because that is the house of the people, it goes without saying the speaker of the National Assembly should go". Eddy Oketch added.
