The former National Vice Chairman, Northwest, of the All Progressives Congress APC, Salihu Lukman, has slammed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for waging political war against his predecessor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai according to the PUNCH news report. The politician said that the governor is fighting a proxy war for presidency, therefore averred that his political journey and that of APC are numbered in the state. Maintained that campaign to dislodge APC, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has begun.
The former Director General of the Progressives Governors Forum, PGF warned the governor that the campaign to defeat APC and President Asiwaju Tinubu has just started, and it will take root in Kaduna State. The statement was contained in a letter titled “Issues of Politics and Governance in Kaduna: The Truth”, dated 13 June 2024, and copied to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and other political protocols of Kaduna State government. Warning that the precedence the governor set will finally hurt him and his entire APC for witch hunting the former governor.
Although, Lukman has allegedly stated that the governor is fighting the former governor on the instruction of the federal government. The statement further maintained that Lukman is seriously spearheading mobilisation to ensure APC did not return to power in 2027 if they refused to embrace sanity by dropping in its entirety all political fight they are waging against El-Rufai. Meanwhile, insisted that if they are probing the former Chief Security Officer of the state, it should be in line with a defined objective and not wildcat political rascality.
