Former Attorney-General Adangor Resigns From Rivers Cabinet

A former Attorney General, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN), who was deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties by Gov. Siminalayi Fubara on Tuesday, has again resigned from the Rivers State Cabinet.

In a letter to the Secretary of the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, sighted by our correspondent on Wednesday, Adangor rejected the deployment and resigned from the Rivers Executive Council, with effect from April 24, 2024.

Prof. Adango said he chose to leave the government to preserve his reputation.

Tinubu Arrives Netherlands On State Visit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the Netherlands on a state visit.

President Tinubu, during his visit, is expected to engage in high-level meetings with Dutch government officials, and business leaders.

The president will also engage in discussions around trade, investment, security cooperation, and cultural exchange.


Nigerian Government Grounds Dana Air Operations

The Nigerian Government has suspended the operations of Dana Air.

The order followed an incident involving a Dana Air plane at Lagos airport on April 23, which forced aviation authorities to divert flights from local to international airport.

The decision was announced by Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.


Power Outage: Customers Urge Kano Government To Call KEDCO To Order

Electricity customers in Kano have urged the state government to take action against Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO, for cutting off power supply to customers without notice.

The call was made during the plenary session at the Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday presided over by the Speaker, Jibril Isma’il Falgore.

Presenting the motion, the member representing Kiru, Usman Abubakar Tasiu accused KEDCO of not serving the needs of its customers.
