Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Overseer of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) to reason with the federal government as regards the minimum wage to be paid to its members.

According to Daily Post, he recently made this known while speaking about the country’s present state, alongside the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He however urged the federal government to also find a lasting solution to the challenges bedeviling the country.

He said: “ Nigeria government will keep borrowing, Labour should understand that the Nigerian government cannot pay. Some State governments will collapse because they cannot pay Sixty Thousand Naira (N60,000) or Seventy Thousand Naira (N70,000), only two states can pay Eighty Thousand Naira (N80,000) and sustain it. The way forward is constant electricity, mechanized farming, and ending insecurity. Insecurity is man-made, those behind it are in the system.

Speaking further about President Tinubu, he said: “ Saboteurs are in Tinubu’s government, so he must be watchful because they will rise soon. The Northerners are plotting coup against him in 2027 ”.
