The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ben Igweh, emphasized the constant vigilance of the FCT policemen, especially in Bwari, where they conduct continuous patrols in the bushes around the clock. He mentioned that their continuous presence allows for swift reactions to suspicious activities by bandits entering the FCT via the hills. He highlighted that their proactive strategies have been crucial in preventing many kidnapping attempts.


He said in an interview with Channels TV, ''We are carrying out operation dominates the boundaries at the moment. If you go to Bwari, you will see our gallant men in the bushes day and night. When you see somebody flashing torch on the hill by 11 pm, 1 am, 2 am, or 3 am, you don't need to ask who is the person. "You'll quickly recognize these individuals arriving to commit kidnapping, and you'll respond promptly. We've prevented numerous kidnapping attempts and successfully executed numerous rescue missions."
