Entertaining matches were played in the English Premier League yesterday as we got to see some teams put up their best performances in order to bag all three vital points from their respective games.
Liverpool kicked off action in the competition when they travelled to face West Ham United at the London Stadium. The Reds went ahead from a losing position in this match but they couldn't hold on to their advantage which ended up in their disappointing 2-2 draw against the Hammers. Goals from Andy Robertson and Alphonse Aréola (Own Goal) helped Liverpool secure at least a point from this encounter.
Manchester United couldn't carry on with their winning mentality in the competition when they hosted relegation battlers Burnley at the Old Trafford Stadium. The Red Devils threw away their lead in the final minutes of the match as they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Burnley courtesy of goals from Antony Santos and Zeki Amdouni.
Meanwhile, Chelsea escaped a defeat in the Premier League when they visited the Villa Park Stadium to face Aston Villa. From being behind by two goals, the Blues came back in the encounter as they held Aston Villa to a dramatic 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher.
