A truck carrying a large cargo of cows, sheep, onions, and dates has somersaulted on the Maiduguri road flyover in Kano, resulting in a shocking accident. The vehicle was traveling from Wudil to Enugu when the incident occurred.
According to Dailytrust, the truck was loaded with 28 cows, sheep, onions, and dates when it overturned on the flyover at Hotoro, Kano. The cause of the accident is suspected to be brake failure.
Hashim Rabiu Tamburawa, a passenger on the truck, recounted the terrifying experience. "We were on our way to Enugu when the truck suddenly somersaulted on the flyover," he said. "We were lucky to escape with our lives."
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, with police, FRSC officials, and firemen rushing to assist the victims. Some of the injured were taken to Sir Sanusi Hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported from the accident. The prompt response of the emergency services likely prevented a more devastating outcome.
