Olanipekun Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has made some revelations regarding the raid in Akure, the capital of Ondo state.
The sting operation by the EFCC operatives resulted in the arrest of a number of individuals alleged to be internet fraudsters in the course of an event tagged "Yahoo Party" at the Signature and Abah Clubs in Akure, Ondo State.
However, the EFCC boss, Olukoyede, gave insights on the incident, disclosing that about a hundred and twenty-seven internet fraudsters were arrested by EFCC personnel during the course of the party.
He noted the perilous effects of the cybercrime practiced by Nigerians.
In a video posted by TVC News, Olanipekun Olukoyede said, "As I am speaking with you, about one hundred and twenty-seven people were arrested; it was a Yahoo party.".
